Samantha is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor. She earned a master's degree in social work from Wichita State University and a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Friends' University. She earned her certification in play therapy through KC Play in 2012. She works with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues providing services to all ages from 5 through elderly that includes individual therapy, families and couples. Treatment approaches she uses in her work with clients are play therapy, sand tray therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution focused therapy, narrative therapy, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, she offers a highly personalized approach tailored to each of her clients individual needs to help attain the personal growth they’re striving for.

There are some things that are important to know about Samantha's schedule. She works Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and does not offer evening or weekend appointments. For first-time clients she typically schedules the first appointment about 4-6 weeks out. After that she will have availability to schedule re-occurring appointments weekly or bi-weekly depending on your needs. Late afternoon and early morning appointments are always in high demand. This mean that the only availability is between 9:00 AM- 2:00 PM for new clients and their ongoing appointments. As the early morning or later afternoon appointments open up, established clients can move into those time slots on a first come, first served basis.

Supervision (LMSW & RPT)

I provide clinical supervision to LMSW's seeking their clinical training as they are working on training plans with the BSRB. My rate for clinical supervision is $80 an hour for individual and $40 an hour for group. I provide supervision on Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM. 

As a registered play therapist-supervisor (RPT-S) I provide play therapy supervision to therapists seeking to either improve their play therapy skills or seeking a play therapy certification with the Association for Play Therapy (APT). I don't have options for group play therapy supervision at this time. I provide supervision on Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
